Thai massage in Utrecht, Vleuten and Vleuterweide
My name is Paveena and I give traditional Thai massage in my studio at Voreneng in Vleuten. I trained at the Wat Po Thai Traditional Medical School in Bangkok. That temple school is seen around the world as the place where traditional Thai massage began.
My studio is small and I intend to keep it that way. With every client I first take the time to hear where the complaints are and what you expect from the treatment. I then adjust the massage to that.

Who I work with
I give massages to women only. The reasons clients come to me vary widely. A stiff neck from screen work, tension between the shoulder blades, heavy legs after a day of standing. Sometimes simply the need for an hour of rest.
A Thai massage can help with:
- tension and stiffness in the neck, shoulders and back
- tired or heavy legs and feet
- stress and poor sleep
- muscles and joints that feel stiff
During pregnancy I cannot give massages, because of the pressure I apply. If something else is going on, an injury or a medical condition for instance, please read the medical indications first or give me a call. I would rather say beforehand that it is better to wait.
What to expect
A traditional Thai massage works differently from a classic massage. You keep your clothes on and lie on a firm mattress on a special massage table, so not on the floor. That table is heated. The treatment room has air conditioning, so it stays comfortable inside even on warm days.
I work with my thumbs, palms, elbows and feet along the energy lines of the body. I combine that pressure with calm stretching movements. It is firm work. Do say so if it becomes too much or feels too light, then I adjust it.
The oil massage, aroma massage and foot massage are given on the massage table as well. For a head, shoulder and neck massage you can choose: on the table, or seated in a special massage chair. In that case we call it a chair massage. We discuss what you prefer at the start of the appointment.
Please wear clothing that sits comfortably and do not eat just before the treatment. Afterwards it is wise to drink plenty of water and take it easy for the rest of the day. You often only feel the after-effect the next morning. That is part of it. You can read more about that under after the treatment.

Where to find me
My studio is at Voreneng 30 in Vleuterweide, Vleuten. From Leidsche Rijn, De Meern and the city of Utrecht you are there quickly. By car or bicycle you can park for free right in front of the door. Coming by bus 28, you get off at the stop De Tuinlanden or Vleuterweide-Centrum. From there it is about a ten minute walk. See also the route description.
Vleuten is part of the municipality of Utrecht, so if you are looking for a Thai massage in Utrecht you are not leaving the city behind. You do leave the crowds behind: parking is free in the street and there is almost always a space in front of the door. From Leidsche Rijn, De Meern, Utrecht West and Papendorp it is a short drive, and bus line 28 stops within walking distance. On weekdays you can come until 8 pm, so there is no need to take a day off. The page route and parking explains exactly how to get here.
Making an appointment
I work by appointment only. Calling is quickest: 030 877 6157. You can also use the contact form or send an email to info@nospam-watpho-massage.com.
I am open Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 20.00 and on Saturday from 9.00 to 12.00. On Sunday I am closed. See the opening times and the appointment page.
Booking online is not possible with me. I schedule every appointment myself, so that there is enough time and calm for the treatment.
Giving a massage as a present
A treatment also makes a present. I make gift vouchers in the recipient name, for an amount of your choice or for a particular massage. As soon as the payment comes in I send the voucher. You can also collect it from me by appointment.

I am certified by the Wat Po Thai Traditional Medical School in Bangkok. You can read more about my training and diplomas under certification.
