An oil massage is the gentler side of my work. Where traditional Thai massage works with pressure and stretches, in this treatment my hands glide over the skin and I release the muscles layer by layer. Many women choose it for a first visit, or when what they mainly need after a busy stretch is to come to rest.

What I use
I work with a neutral base oil, without perfume or colouring. It absorbs slowly, does not stay tacky, and lets my hands glide long enough for me to work calmly. If you would like scents matched to your complaints or your mood, choose the aroma massage, where I add essential oils to that same base.
How the treatment goes
You lie on a firm mattress on a proper massage table, under a towel. Only the part I am working on at that moment is uncovered. The table is heated and the room is air conditioned, so you lie comfortably without getting cold or too warm.
I start with the back, because that is where most women carry the most work, and then move on to the legs, arms, shoulders and neck. Long gliding strokes alternate with kneading and with pressure held a little longer on the places that are stuck. You decide how firm it is: say what you feel during the massage and I go deeper or ease off.
Who it suits
An oil massage is a good first choice if you have never had a Thai massage, or if firm work is too much for you. It also suits anyone who sleeps badly, carries a lot of tension in the shoulders, or simply wants an hour to themselves. If your concern is one specific stubborn spot in the neck and shoulders, the head, shoulder and neck massage is more targeted.
What to keep in mind
Bear in mind that oil stays behind on your skin and along your hairline, so it is better not to plan an appointment straight afterwards. I do not give massage during pregnancy, including oil massage. With skin conditions, open cuts, fever or recent surgery it is better to wait. The medical points to consider are on a separate page, and what to expect afterwards is under after the treatment.
Making an appointment
Call 030 877 6157 or send the contact form. I work without an online calendar, so there is enough time left for each client. The studio in Vleuten is open until 8 pm on weekdays. You will find the prices under general information.
